Equality and the Forgotten Ones

I'm trying to wrap my head around all the talk about equality and rights, and wondering where the outrage is for the lost rights of the most innocent among us, the unborn children who are aborted and discarded by the thousands, year after year.  I understand both sides of the gay marriage issue, but I just can't compare the present arguments over who can and cannot marry to the unheard screams of the little ones pulled from their safe places, whose lives are taken from them for no fault of their own.

My heart breaks for unspeakable, painful circumstances that cause unwanted pregnancies, and I love and have tremendous compassion for each and every person who has ever had to make a life-changing decision to end a pregnancy.   Please know I don't judge you, because I have never walked in your shoes.

I know it's a complex, difficult topic, with strong opinions on both sides. But my heart also breaks for those precious little babies who are never given a chance to become all God created them to be.

Will we speak out just as much for their rights as we do for every other human being?

If we truly want equal rights for all, we must consider these little ones too.

13
Psalm 139:13-16

For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise yobecause I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.
